With 25 years of experience, she is a DOCTOR OF NATURAL MEDICINE (University of Natural Medicine,NM), REGISTERED HOMEOPATH, CERTIFIED IRIDOLOGIST, CERTIFIED SCLEROLOGIST, CERTIFIED HERBALIST, CERTIFIED FOOT GLYPHOLOGIST, CERTIFIED REFLEXOLOGIST, CERTIFIED LIFE-SYSTEM PRACTITIONER, CERTIFIED SYSTEMIC FORMULA PRACTITIONER and CERTIFIED COLOR THERAPIST. Her extensive international trainings and education were aquired in England and the United States.

Dr. Angelika Maria Koch started her professional career (1984) with a certified training as a Color Therapist at the Hygeia Studios, England, with her teacher Theo Gimbel, a close associate to Rudolf Steiner. She then completed a certified training in Reflexology at the Churchill Centre in London / England. Her journey continued with another certified four-year training as a Licensed Homeopath, at the College of Homeopathy, in London / England. During this time, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch also acquired, over three years, extensive knowledge in the application of homeopathy at the Children's Homeopathic Clinic for Underpriviledged Parents and Children, in London/ Stoke Newington. In 1993, a further training in Basic Counselling Skills was adopted. In 1995, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch became a Member of the College of Homeopathy and aquired the status of Registration by the Society of Homeopath in England. This in-depth education was further enhanced by a two-year certified post-graduate training as a Practitioner of Classical Homeopathy at the School For Advanced Homeopathic Studies, in London/ England with her mentor Jeremy Sher, an internationally known teacher. In London, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch offered her knowledge at the Color Institute, where she taught Basic Anatomy Courses. She also became the supervisor of final year students at the College of Homeopathy in London / England. In 1996, she acquired, for two years, a certified diploma in Natural Healing and Herbal Medicine, at the Selfheal School, in Norfolk / England. Her teacher was Jill Davies, one of the few europeans trained by teacher Dr. John Christopher / USA. This training was followed by a certified diploma as an Iridologist at the Independent School of Iridology, Norfolk/ England with the teacher Alan Payne. Next to all the given trainings, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch successfully practiced as a full-time practitioner from her private practice in London / England. At that time, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch was the only practitioner in London who combined homeopathy with the teachings of Dr. John Christopher and therefore was able to work extensively and successfully with cancer patients.

From 1997-1999, an extensive research and study (10 volume folders) was completed of the Native American Medicinal Plants of the Upper Region of Northern New Mexico, particular around the Taos area. This 10 volume-work was not published but used as teaching references of her future courses. Since then several teaching seminars in Basic Anatomy, Herbalism and Earth Medicine, either organised by Dr. Angelika Maria Koch, or employed by schools or public conferences followed this unfolding path of healing. Also during this time, a journey to the Peruvian Amazon, allowed her to study medicinal plants, particular in relation to "Incurable Diseases". In 2001, another training followed in Plant Spirit Medicine at the Partner Earth Education Center in Vermont / USA with her teacher Pam Montgomery, an internationally acclaimed teacher. In 2001, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch became the founder and director of TERRA NOVA, Center for Integrated & Educational Medicine, located in Taos, N.M. The center acted as a satellite clinic and externship for students and practitioners of the University of Natural Medicine in Santa Fe, N.M and the University of New Mexico in Taos. She continues to teach as an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico in Taos.

In 2002, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch, founded the non-profit organization, TERRA NOVA CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION, (501(c)(3), the first holistic treatment center for sexually-and violently abused children in Northern New Mexico. The following accredited agencies were affiliated with the foundation: Tri-County Children's Advocates in Taos, Amigos Unidos, Mujeres en Progresso, The Dreamtree Project, Casa Foster Care Parents Program for Sexualy Abused Children and the Youth & Family Clinic in Taos. Dr. Angelika Maria Koch became a specialist in this field and still today holds this position in Taos County. TNCF stood as a forerunner in holistic healthcare prevention as well as "cutting the destructive future-pattern" within sexually and violently abused children. Today, MEDICA NOVA, Practice for Integrated & Educational Medicine, has taken over this position in the continuation of holistic treatments for children in need.

In 2004, Terra Nova Children's Foundation presented EXPRESSIVE ARTS PROGRAMS at Terra Nova. The programs were held monthly as well as ongoing classes for caretakers and fostercare parents.

Dr. Angelika Maria Koch was part of regular staff meetings at "CASA", Foster Care Program For Sexually Abused Children in Taos, a very unique and rare opportunity to network with many different practitioners. At Terra Nova, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch maintained a full-time practice next to her numerous positions. In November 2005, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch, completed a three-year training as a Doctor of Natural Medicine, D.N.M., with cum laude, at the University of Natural Medicine, in Santa Fe / USA, fully licensed by the New Mexico Higher Education Department as a Private Postsecondary Institution of Higher Learning. The University is also registered in the state of California as a charitable institute and recognized in many countries.

She also completed a Certified Training as a Foot Glyphologist, a Certified Training as a SYSTEMIC FORMULA practitioner and a Certified Training as a LIFE-SYSTEM practitioner, an Advanced Biofeedback System. With the closure of Terra Nova and Terra Nova Children's Foundation in 2005, Dr. Angelika Maria Koch founded MEDICA NOVA, Practice for Integrated & Educational Medicine, located in Taos N.M. / USA in 2006. Her practice offers a truly unique combination of very effective therapeutic tools for children and adults. She also manages a general practice in London / UK.

Dr. Angelika Maria Koch was born in Germany, speaks fluent German and English, and currently resides in Taos, New Mexico. She is the mother of two sons and a proud grandmother.
